Dear Friends.....

Hi, it's nice to meet you! I'm so glad you're visiting.

I've been a romance reader for years and I like to know a little about the authors I read, so here's a little about me. I'm the wife of Martin, the best husband in the universe (stand aside ladies, he's mine) and the mother of two wonderful daughters.

I was born and raised in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC. I met my husband, Martin, when we were 17 (on a surprise blind date!) and we've been together ever since, through thick and thin. He's my best friend and I'm so lucky to have him! Martin and I went to the University of Maryland together where I earned a Chemical Engineering degree and Martin, a Psychology degree. We moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where I worked as an engineer for a large consumer goods company for years. (Think Tide, Crest, Pampers-yeah, that's the one!) Both our girls were born in Cinci, so we have very fond memories of that place. I started writing while living in Cinci-the scenes were rolling in my head and I couldn't concentrate on my job so I started writing them down. I started out writing for fun, and then I was hooked. One little life thing led to another and now...

Now we live in Florida where it's sunny and delightful most of the year. I love it here!

I have a very strong principle about romance. I love the happy endings and I think that's why other readers love them, too. Sometimes real life can become just too darn overwhelming and it's nice to escape to a place where you know everything will come up roses by the last page. I've needed these escapes during rough periods in my life as well as the times when everything was really OK, but just a bit hectic. I hope my stories will provide that kind of escape for you as well.

My characters generally go through some pretty tough times. In DON'T TELL, Caroline is a survivor of spousal abuse. She has Dana, her best friend, to encourage and guide her, but a lot of abused women don't have a "Dana" in their lives. But there is help out there for this and many other life situations. So I came up with the idea of LIFE LINKS—a set of links that will provide sources of help for a variety of different life situations. Thank God, I've never been a victim of abuse, but I've had a lot of other life situations where I needed help. For example, I've been through rough rounds of infertility treatment. And then when my oldest daughter was six weeks old we learned Martin had cancer. That was rougher. But we got through it with a lot of help and now he's fine.
